The Teddy Fund

Wind Over Wings is a nonprofit wildlife rehab & education center in Dresden, ME. We have created a fund to celebrate the memory of a loved one. Donations made in a person's memory will provide live bird programs for children with special needs. This fund was created in memory of Teddy Ebersol, son of Susan Saint James and Dick Ebersol.

Wind Over Wings was invited to Teddy Ebersol's 12th birthday party. One of the birds brought to the party was an unnamed little Saw-whet Owl. The children unanimously named him "Teddy". Two years later, Teddy Ebersol tragically lost his life in a plane crash in Colorado. Teddy Owl was invited to his memorial service. (Teddy did a memorable job.)

This fund has allowed us to give progrms in previous years to the Special Olympics, The Hole in the Wall Gang, the residential summer camp for children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, and The American School for the Deaf.

Contributions will continue to be used for environmental education programs that Wind Over Wings presents to children with special needs.
